NOW, this is the link your "source" uses.  The one that says 8.6 is from Feb 4, 2014.  Your source uses a pdf from Nintendo's website for 2013.

Look carefully.  It says "Consolidated Results for the Three Months Ended June 2012 and 2013."

The number they took specifically comes from page 4, "As of June 30, 2013" for Cash and Deposits.
