'3m have ps4 and vita, yet only 250k have tried remote play....'
And yet only half have bought ps+ for MP. Maybe the reality is just that a lot of people don't care?

Sure, it's possible that their numbers are flawed, but it should at least be worth looking into what they mean first.

I think more so than their statement being accurate, it's trying to push Vita sales by saying that hey, if you own a PS4, get a Vita because other people are doing the same. Some time ago they made a comment that almost all Vita owners own a PS3 as well.

But you mention how half the PS4 owners purchased PS+ and doubled the PS+ userbase.  If 48% of the Vita sales were digital, most Vita fans would time and time again see PS+ free  games each month.  So since these people clearly have no problem paying for digital games, they just by some chance don't want to pay $50 for free digital games and only after getting a PS4 did these users sign up for the service.

I'm not saying it couldn't be true.  I'm just saying I think it's bs because there are a lot of holes in their information.  Sony doesn't give us numbers.  They give us random estimates so there's really no way of knowing how they're figuring any of this stuff out.  One PSN account could have been used on multiple PS4s and that account could have been used on a Vita.  Does that mean that all those PS4s  that have added that account as a friend account own a Vita?  No, b ut that could be one way Sony is adding it.

Sony could purposefully be skewing those numbers in hopes that people who own a PS4 will buy a Vita just because other PS4 owners have one.

And then this thread pops up.

He's saying a lot of people are buying both together.  It sounds like what they're doing is try and use the PS4s popularity to sell PS Vitas.   These comments made in such a close proximity in time can't just be coincidence.
