I'm not a movie critic per se. I am happy with anything that entertains me. I wasnt entertained at all by the Twilight movies. They were dumb and the acting of the main female was abysmally bad. I joke with my frieds that someone should make a romatic comedy with her and Keanu Reaves. Can you imagine? lol |
I do not disagree. I did not just mean critics, but general public response tended to be that is was poor or cheesy. Yet, this criticism meant nothing for a series that stands alongside titans of money making in the industry. it just seems odd that some "me too!" project has not even managed to successful. Not saying another juggernaut, but at least one that is profitable.
This trends tend to see at least one other success story. Chronicles of Narnia did well enough to get two sequels in wake of Lord of the Rings success. Admittedly different demographics, but get my point to a degree.
