I remember back when the delay was first announced many people were happy with the delay, they said they were either still busy with GTA V, or that there were already too many Holiday 2013 titles that they were interested in. Not only that, but the delay was likely implemented to insure quality next-gen versions, since the consoles releases were kind of rushed, especially with the Xbox One's SDK reportedly being behind at release, don't you want the next-gen versions to be well made instead of rushed? |
games have had this every increasing line of quality. the graphics get crisper. the worlds get larger and more interactive.
..my issue isn't that watch dogs looks bad. it's that as a launch title watchdogs looked really impressive. in that 6 months later infamous will already be out,.. as will titanfall. uncharted 4 got announced. we're starting to get really impressive details about the order 1886 and halo. evolve was announced and looks amazing. everquest next details look amazing. metal gear looks amazing. every day that goes by the line that distinqushes quality moves a little bit more forward and watch dogs slips a little further back from bleeding edge to average.
i'll probably still play it,.. but after infamous i doubt i can justify a full priced purchase anymore. i'll wait until it's $20 or so.
