From what I've heard from people, Oculus Rift could be that big of a change, it's still in the early stages as well. Further into the future some sort of projection technology could transform your entire room into a dynamic game world, a step up from augmented reality.
Besides that I think we have a lot to look forward to still with things like AI and Physics. Games with characters who understand and react to speech is going to be amazing. It might be far into the future but not outside of our lifetimes. Worlds that allow you to interact with anything and everything.

There's is plenty left to amaze and surpise us going forward into gaming.
