Isn't all products made and sold at limited quantities? Even more in vg launches when sold outs is quite common. Ps4 had a similar limited release in all the 50+ countries it launched (and Wii as well).
It seems more like a opportunity to jab XBone, because we all now that even with infinity supply it wouldn't do wonders in Japan, so it's a pretty useless news.
