Will we ever get a new 2D Metroid game again?

Other M sold 1.3 million so I think Nintendo was expecting WAY too much from that game sales-wise. All the negative attention it recieved didn't help too much either.

most of those sales came from bargain bin. it didnt reach a mil until long after if was selling for 20 below and this is Ninty they hate to sell there games for anything less than full price long after the game releases
