They probably see it the same way I see my talk show: there is no Wii U talk show.

The market for Wii U racing sims is zero.  The audience for a Wii U talk show is zero.  Why not create it?  Just because there isn't an existing audience doesn't mean there's zero interest.  The Wii U owners have been some of the MOST outspoken on Project CARS for the Wii U, so I think they're encouraged by this idea.

Though it's no guarantee of success, there's no denying the lack of competition is favorable.

If the existing audience is satiated, then they have zero interest.  What does Project CARS offer that Gran Turismo and Forza doesn't?
