No, they haven't. 

yes they have. Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, NSMBWii U and Luigi, Nintendoland, Mario&SOnic, Lego, Rabbids. These are follow ups to some of the biggest series on WIi. Only thing that they havent done is Wii SPorts, so how havent they tried yet?

But they have tried with Wii Sports...

They even had commercials...
