This excuse by 3rd party developers is just complete bullshit, always has been and always will be. If u don''t make a game for the system to build a said base for future games and also give the system the said support as the other systems, then don't expect people to buy that game. It's just that simple, that is the only reason 3rd party games don't sell on nintendo systems is because they don't respect the gamer's that buy nintendo systems at all or ever have, they look upon them as a red headed step child mind set.

It's not hard to see why for example that the call of duty games haven't sold to what activision wants, is because they don't advertise the game and also don't give the game the dlc, they give nintendo fans the shaft and then wonder why the game doesn't sell, its not rocket science to see why.

then explain why PS4 and xone versions of games like AC4, COD, hell even Injustice did much better than their WIi U counterparts DESPITE the fact that Wii U was out for a year prior and those games a mentioned were established on WIi U from the get go, but still put up weak numbers?

They were not extablished on Wii U, this goes back to last gen when Wii missed out (mainly cause it could not run the games) and all the gamers who wanted to play those games moved on. Hence whatever demographic was there for those games is mostly gone.  Why would anyone go out and buy ACIII and ACIV if they haven't played the other two? PS4 xone are the natural flow from PS360 so the userbase is already there.

There is no simple solution to suddenly get peole buying 3rd party games on Nintendo systems as this has kind of started all the way back in the n64 days. It will take time and perserverance from 3rd party devs until the next lot of kids grow up that can play adult games. If there is no perserverance then those kids will dp what most of us have done and bought other systems to play those games.

Alternatively they can just continue doing the easy thing and not support Nintendo systems knowing that the kids will move on. That is their business decision to make.

It doesnt matter if they were established on WIi. That makes no difference as every new gen is kind of a clean slate. By that logic FF7 should have NEVER been the best selling FF ever. Hell all of those 3rd party games that were established on Ninty systems should have flopped. What about all those games that were not established on the first xbox but STILL managed to sell well on 360, FF, Tekken, just to name two. As for natural flow. Its not that simple as i already explained those games shifting to different audiences within PS Xbox community. and then you would have to explain why games established on Wii are doing not great on WII U. Looking at the WIi series here.

Honestly they might just do the last part and just skip it. Resources dont grow on trees and it is a hard sell to try to "perservere" especially when they have 3 not 1 or 2 3 viable systems to put their games on. Its messed up but hey. There is more to it than just well they didnt try. Lets not ignore demographs.
