Well, at least one dev that is honest. Not the "WiiU cannot handle the game because of less power" or "If we release something for WiiU, it shoud utilize the gamepad right"-crap. This at least is honest:
Take-Two believes that Wii U just doesn't have the consumer base to warrant its attention right now. "Our strategy is to meet consumers where they are," Zelnick elaborated.

To all that claim missing Wii and 3DS-content. Well, Rockstar and TakeTwo aren't much into handheld games. They made Chinatown though, but it didn't sell well. Probably because their offerings are meant for home console. For Wii the statement still holds true: "Take-Two believes that Wii U just doesn't have the consumer base to warrant its attention right now." Do you think a GTA would have sold well on Wii? Consumer base doesn't just mean the basic numbers, but also the demographics. And he is right. GTA on WiiU would be bought by some for sure, but it wouldn't by far reach the numbers of PS3 and X360 version. I'm aware that these consumer-base will not be built, if they don't start it to cultivate with games. But I can't blame them. Such a thing is a risky and expensive work.

goodness A Ninty fan that gets it.
