Sure, ignore reality while the console you clearly adore has a very premature death. No one wants the console at this price, and the controller is the only reason why it's so high.

are you kidding me ? YOU ignore the reality. Without the gamepad the consumers would be more confused than NOW. They would see the Wii and the WiiU and wouldn´t see a difference. Parents would be mad because their kids can not play Wii Party U. A lot of games would need a patch, so you can play without the gamepad. It is like you cannot use a mouse for your PC. Many games would not work. 

Dude, your console is dead otherwhise. As long as they drop the price i'm happy, but we both know that's not going to happen anytime soon with the current controller. Oh and by the way, if you controller breaks what then?
