Why did so many games sell so bad last year?

To comment on some of the games I listed.

Dead Space 3 wasn't hugely different from the others what it may have lacked in some places made up for them by having coop and being able to play with a friend. The series has been pretty samey though so interest has probably dropped.

Sly Cooper 4 I don't know why they bothered, the Sly games weren't even that popular back on PS2. It was a pretty dated game.

Metal Gear Rising was a lot of money I was hoping for them to sell 3 million copies being multi plat. Them drastically changing it after Platinum took over probably ruined it.

God of War Ascension was a prequel why? If the game was made by the same people why not just make a God of War 4?

Dead Island was pretty shit so not surprised the sequel flopped.

Saints Row 4 I just started and it's a lot of fun that should have done better but maybe too many have been put off by it going too over the top.

Ratchet and Clank lost if when they did All 4 One, they did a few games that went a different approach and it killed it.
