3DS is only dying in the same sense that a 40 year old man is dying because his life is half over. I believe that 3DS has peaked worldwide but it still has 2-3 years of solid sales left in it. This year has Kirby, Yoshi, Mario Golf, Smash Bros, Bravely Default (US), Disney Magical Castle (west), Dragon Quest Joker 2(Japan), Monster Hunter 4G (Japan), and more unannounced games to come. 2015 could see a decent sized price cut, Dragon Quest 11, Pokemon Z/Gen 3 remake and others that will keep sales from tanking. 2016 will probably see a successor release. I could see yearly sales being something like 2014-13.5 million, 2015-11 million, 2016-7 million which would put it at roughly 75 million by the end 2016.
