MK Wii will be great, and I think think will surpass MK64 in greatness. The online was announced very early and I think it will be well done, not just tacked on as it appears to be an integral part of the game's "value". Also the 12 player thing is HUGE for me, I have been wanting more racers since the SNES version.

Mario Kart 64 is pure fail.  I downloaded that to my Wii after not playing it since it essentially came out for the N64 and boy howdy is it ever a crappy game.  The computer catches up faster than in any other in the series, the graphics are horrid, and sound is almost totally absent in multiplayer games.  Dropping framerates, bland environments.  I must have been blind back in 1997 when I played that thing.

MK:DD was personlly my favorite of the series, and about the only one from which I actually derived any real enjoyment.  It's smooth, looks good and the controls are the best.  The computer's cheating was at an all-time low in here.  The rest I consider foolish purchases that I must have made either under duress or during a period of mental fatigue.  I got the original free with my SNES, which is the only reason I ended up with it.

The GBA Mario Kart is only slightly less crappy than the N64 game.

Mario Kart is my nemesis.  No game series has ever boiled my blood like this one.  I once tossed the original across a room.  The evil damn thing still works.
