Only because Gameboy / Gameboy advance was doing amazingly and selling a ton of games. GC didn't do well financially.
As for PS4 being instantly sold out everywhere. Fact is many countries only got one shipment of PS4s in 2013. So aside from USA, UK and perhaps 4 or 5 other countries yes every unit shipped in 2013 was sold. So I think shipment number is very close indeed to sell-through, there might be only 50K or so in it. So I think 3.6M PS3 shipped is closer to being correct than 3.3M.
