Here's the problem with copying Wiiplay if you're Sony or Microsoft imo. To date, Microsoft and Sony still try and dispute Wii's success by suggesting it's gimmicky, or it will fail, etc. etc. Now, we could debate that point all day, but the issue is, if Microsoft and Sony start copying Nintendo's ideas, doesn't that simply serve to validate Nintendo's methods? Sure they might sell some units, but it might cause some people to perceive Nintendo's actions in a more positive light, if they're worth stealing.
The only teeth strong enough to eat other teeth.
