PS3 wasn't truly more expensive, the standard version cost $500, same as the Xbox One, the initial $600 premium model was discontinued due to poor sales so you know most of the sales came from the $500 version. And though the PS3 released in less countries, the total size of the gaming markets are comparable.

no the standard was the 60gb at $600 the $500 20gb model was discontinued.  it was $100 more and thats not even taking into acount inflation.
