Between 3-4X for PS4 vs Wii U seems more plausible than 4-5. Sales should also fall closely to 1.5X (in favour of PS4) to almost even during the release of MK8 and for a few months following after that. Holidays however will put the sales gap back up to 3-3.5X, unless Nintendo pulls something magical out of their ass (Zelda U, Mario Galaxy 3)

Your right, they could release it during the holiday season, however, I believe it may end up prior to that which is why I didn't include it (I'm thinking end of August).

Nintendo gets a bigger boost than the other 2 companies during the holiday season, parents who may wait months until xmas to give their kid the console.
This year it looks like we will have Mario Kart in May, X and Bayonetta 2 in the middle, and Smash Bros before a few weeks before Holiday season. Mario 3D World was released in November 22 and had their best selling weeks in December if I recall correctly.

Well, I'm pretending an imaginary scenario that happens where Zelda U gets released for the holidays, therefore causing Smash to be released for end of August.
On a more realistic note, if they do release Smash in November, I hope its earlier than SMW3D was, in order to better penetrate holiday sales (Nov 7-14 would be ideal)
