Its difficult to predict at this point. Theres so much baggage behind the Nintendo and Wii U hate that i dont think it is recoverable. Mario Kart will no doubt move alot of units though. Personally, i think its a good system. It has a great line-up of exclusives. Better than the PS4 and X1 for me, wich basically have nothing coming that interest me this year. FFXV wont make a release this year most probably so thats a shame. Leaves me with Dragon Age 3, wich will release on current gen aswell. At least the Wii U has X coming out this year, and that by itself is worth a console purchase. Add to that those popular Nintendo games and Bayonetta 2 and the question becomes not wether its worth having, but what does the future hold besides Zelda.
Without the 3rd party support, wich we know Nintendo never has, it will always be a secondary system. A really good one, but nevertheless.

Well thank you for clarifying. It seems that Wii U is the most hated Nintendo console of all time (barring perhaps Virtual Boy), and even the GC which sold poorly was really loved by fans, myself included.
With that negativity, I just don't see any two titles being its savior.

Different ages. The Wii U might end up beeing loved just as much. Its still early to tell.It certainly has alot of titles to please fans this year.
The big difference is that the internet is more widespread and participated than it used to be. The negative impressions, justified or not will pour through and affect the most weak hive minded. This kind of damage wasnt so severe in the Gamecube era.
