No you didn't, you tried to encourage other people to do the same. That is totally different.
Why do you post about it here? So everyone should do it, just to ruin the fun for an 8 year old? Yeah, most of the people using 1 character only, and rocks with him, is 8 years old. At least I think so.
If it is so important for him to win, shouldn't you let him? Or at least let other let him.
I for one, like the saying. "If you play someone better, you become better".
If I lose against someone time after time, I WANT him to keep using the same character, so that I can show myself that I could beat him. If he changes, I'll never know if I was better with Yoshi than he was with Ice Climbers.
But do I go and say
