Why spend so much money in infrastruct and maintenance to surport old ass games?
I basic smartphone right now can run PS1/PS2 games and a top end can run PS3 graphics close enougth. Imagine that in 2 or 3 years then.

A basic smartphone can't run PS2 games yet emulation uses more resources than the original console it is emulating and theres still like 3 more years until phones can output PS3 graphics. Thats the whole point of PS Now that you can run it pretty much anywhere not matter the hardware as long as you have a good speed connection.

No smartphone can properly emulate a PS2, it will be more like 5 years for them to reach PS3 graphics then we will be getting ready for the PS5. (I expect the PS5 in 2018/2019)
