Idk in my opinion it could do it if that Sony TV service is the cable killer we have all been waiting for.

This will be a large part of it. There is something like 160M set top boxes in the US alone. Sony only has to take just over a 1/4 of that market to reach PS2 levels in the US. Having a super snappy OS, and being much more powerful than any other set top box should be a huge advantage. Then if things start to take off, there should be a good chance of partial substidisation, thanks to the revenue and profits from all services (Live TV/PPV/On-Demand/Video Unlimited/Music Unlimited/PS Now, etc.).

What will be interesting to see is if Sony will try something new this gen. With the market being so different, and new tech being delivered at a rapid pace, I can see either Sony or MS shaking things up. Is a PS4K possible once the chips are shrunk to 22nm? PS4 goes to $299, PS4K is $399 new 12 core CPU/32CU GPU, and 12GB GDDR5 allows PS4 games to run at 4K.

Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Be proud of who you are, encourage others to be proud of themselves. Learn, research, absorb everything around you. Nothing is meaningless, a purpose is placed on everything no matter how you perceive it. Discover how to love, and share that love with everything that you encounter. Help make existence a beautiful thing.
