But I think the XBone exclusivity does not explain why e.g. PS4 fans went along with the hype and were interested in playing it on PS4. Well, I guess you must distinguish that people "interested in playing it" don't necessarily see it as the next coming of Christ. So a mediocre but plausibly attractive to lowes common denominator game doesn't necessarily have across the board "mega hype" status. MS and fanbois were perhaps just happy to play up that "sufficient" status into something greater because it was exclusive.
