It is no secret the past generation was head over heels for FPSs. This is just another shooter with pretty graphics and wait for it...mechas. The mobility aspect of the game is actually pretty appealing but you're right, it is not revolutionary in anyway but there is a lot of hype for it because it is from the makers of CoD and Xbox One exclusive. If it wasn't for those to facts (mostly the latter) it would not be as high acclaimed as it will most likely be.
