Do you seriously think any console manufacturer would store stuff in warehouses for almost a year???

the alternative is what?   ..ramp up production massively for 1 or 2 months in august and then decrease it back to normal?   i'll bet you have no idea how massively more expensive it to change production rates than it is to stock a warehouse.

uh.. check every fj report of every console manufacturer? And yes, contrary to what you think, I have occasionally had the chance to look into mass manufacturing in the past 30 years... Oh.. and how do you think those 4mio PS4/XBox Ones were made last year?
