I understand they start planning the next console sometime after the current one is released but it's way too early to be disclosing that info to the public. I think they're addressing the fusion rumour which is a stupid move. I was thinking of buying a Wii U soon but now i'm so sure.

But they're not talking about their next console. A lot of you seem to be confused by their use of the word "platform", when they were using it in a strictly "business model" sense of the word. I'm fairly certain they have no plans to have a new console any sooner than 2016, and I'd wager 2017 at the earliest to be honest.
