Microsoft wants to hope that the 360 is ahead of Europe NEXT week, not this week. This week there is only three days of cut prices and four days of ZILCH console sales due to people waiting for the price cut.
Also, gamers should want the 360 to outsell the PS3 in Europe, at least for 2 months, in order to force a Sony price cut in response, which will ensure Microsoft cuts again at the holidays and so on.
