Relating to posts saying that the PS3 is a failure, sales wise or profit wise, it certainly is not a failure.

If you go check the hardware sales chart here on VG Chartz you will see that for the same amount of time since launch the PS3 is ahead of the XBOX 360 in sales.

And a far as profit is concerned, Sony took less than a year to get out of the red but Microsoft took more than a year before it got out of the red (Sony released a financial report and Halo 3 got Microsoft out of the red).

I am not bashing XBOX 360 but I really get pissed when people call the PS3 a failure even if the numbers indicate otherwise.


 The PS3 is a failure relative to expectations, which was that it would be winning - not just winning the competition for second. Also we know for a fact that the PS3 is still losing money, Sony has said as much. They have said they want to make money on the PS3 by, actually I forget when, was it the end of 2009? Sometime in the future anyway. They aren't making money on it yet. The PS2 and PSP are what bought SCE into the black, not the PS3.
