I'm just curious about the power of peer pressure over an extent of time.

For example, my older brother got a N64 because his friends had it. I grew to love it and got the GameCube alongside my friends. I ended up convincing my friends to get a Wii, but they ended up also getting 360's, and eventually Xbox Ones. I stuck with Nintendo afterwards, but we play at each other's places enjoying the variety of games each console offers.

In Cross Country, however, I got a lot of flack for playing Nintendo consoles. It annoyed me, but it didn't deter me from playing Nintendo. It did deter others who wanted to avoid being made fun of, however.

What were your experiences like at school/workforce with the console wars.
