I do care, though I said otherwise earlier. The problem I have with most of these companies is that their decisions are so short-sighted and misguided. How can EA claim to have even tried? Everything they put out was doomed. Look at how great their sports games are for Xbone and PS4. Did Wii U even get half of that quality/effort? If Nintendo didn't give you time with the console, EA, then don't rush it. More so, does it make sense to not even give a full effort for just one year, in 2013, with a full year to develop a good FIFA 14 or Madden?
We had Ubisoft delay Rayman to boost sales. But if I were CEO, I wouldn't have delayed it; the install base numbers may be high, but timing was everything. The title had no competition, had the potential to be a big system seller, looked great, and was prominently featured everywhere. The delay meant the game lost all other advantages, and fell prey to a busy September. It was an awful business decision... that was made to help the business? How are these people employed???
Deus Ex was a HUGE surprise, and very pleasant to discover. I've been playing it constantly since I got it for my birthday recently, and it's a big improvement on an already great game. The same thing happened, there, release-wise. Though the install base is bigger on other platforms, those people wouldn't be as interested to buy, as they've seen the game before.
Unlike previous generations, we aren't getting platform parity with a lot of third party titles. Madden 2005, the EA 007 games, etc. all were great on GameCube. Since late-life cycle of Wii, nobody gives a crap. That's why I've grown so sour.
