Mort doesn't have access to NPD but he know guys that had... GAF had some guys with access to NPD, one eve works to the company if I'm not wrong.
And NPD track sales every week/day... just because the public release happens monthly don't mean they don't have internal estimates for half of the month... Mort is talking about estimates util the third week of January... and I can't see Xbone changing the situation in the last two weeks.
The gap in US will increase... ~150k in December to close 300k in January in my opinion... February will be even bigger with inFAMOUS... before Titalfall it will be over 500k.
