There is no witch hunt against Nintendo. Basically Nintendo bought a very under-powered product to market that they tried to sell at an inflated price and it failed. It was always a huge gamble. It worked for wii but failed for wii u. Their own greed and low regard for consumers basically destroyed its chances of a being a major format this generation.

However Nintendo try to spin it the wii u will drop in price or alternatively they can drop those wii u consoles into the same landfill as those ET cartridges. Lets not forget there are a lot of retailers abandoning wii u although I personally think many are probably waiting to see how big mario kart is. If that does low numbers I think a huge number of retailers will abandon wii u.

I'm not happy about this as I bought a wii u at launch but the idea you can just sit on stock and not price cut is just ridiculous. Ultimately consumers decide if a console has a price cut not Nintendo. Yes if Nintendo make the right decisions and the wii u sells much better than no price cut but it's hard to see how Nintendo can achieve that currently.
