In other words, wii does not have a harddrive, therefore it limits these hackers' from downloading illegal games. |
Now you can unscrubble wii isos, so games like wiisports can be put on a 100MiB .iso file. Bomberman is a 1,7GiB and larger games like Resident Evil, 4GiB. You can download it and burn in DVD-R media, no need for HDs...
Nintendo can't do much thinks about wii piracy without loose MUCH money. The wii specs are alread on the wild, if they make a big change, they can create some incompatibility with older versions, loose a bunch of money with the "legal users"... and in the end someone would crack it again...
Nintendo are atacking scenes sites... and it REALY SUX... why can't we build a linux for WII that can play DVDs??? even sony alow to run free homebrews in linux mode...

BTW, about X360, MS made a BIG anti-piracy system, it is called 3RLs, or RRoD. I know a bunch of plp afraid to open a X360 and void warrant because they will need it...
