There's a serious problem when you've utterly shit the bed and wasted THE two most over stars your company has had in the past few years. CM Punk was red lava hot after his infamous "pipe bomb" promo, and they had a real opportunity there to have their next "Austin" type figure, a guy the fans loved no matter what he did, an anti-authority figure who bucked the system and didn't give a fuck.

You hit more nails on the head with this post than the WWE has in the past 4 years of Television.We have/had a big group who used to gather each week to watch Raw and once a month to catch the PPV's there was almost tears shed when Edge announced his retirement because of basically being too amazing in his fights and damaging himself to make up for others lack of showmenship and ability, when he was actually inducted into the Hall of Fame for me was one of the saddest days for WWE.

Regarding the paragraph I've left here btw, Punk indeed was trying to make an incredible go of the character who didn't give a fuck about anything, but at one of his face offs vs HHH he made a big mistake, a klikesque lvl of breaking the viewers image of the wrestlers http://youtu.be/6hcKjU2Y3YI?t=12m19s this is something the WWE does not allow, at all, in any way. Heck very few wrestlers like Shawn Micheals and Wooooooo Flair get to call him Hunter but that's still one of his wrestling names. HHH got chastised and knocked into the Jobbers league over the MSG incident and it was no shock to me to see Punk getting pushed into the background after he went too far here.

The part time wrestler stuff tho... at the start they just used that to fill up the extra hour they added to Raw getting Piper back to mouth off at Jericho but now the actual full timers are the ones getting the scraps of the time and we're probably even going to see Underpants come back in the next 60 days, create some half assed fued with someone and continue his streak down Wrestlemania history (his birthday btw, if you want an even sadder reason why he never loses there)
