Similar architecture actually make the advantage bigger as it will be easier for devs to tap into the extra power of the PS4. The gpus are similar but one has a lot more compute units and shader power. The more powerfull system is also easier to work on and has less over head. there were differences most of all last gen in multi-plats...with systems that were close, ps4 is a lot further ahead this gen in power. You are the one looking at a wakeup call, even industry people have been on record saying the gap will grow. The x1 ha smajor bottlenecks ps4 doesn;t no amount of wizardry is going to make x1 run even more demanding games as well as ps4. It is nothing like last gen, in fact it's the opposite. |
Clearly PS4 is more powerful. But the fact is you can't judge capability on the first run of 3rd party games. In a year or so they will once again look nearly identical.
