This 100 times, MS are fine with the x1 being less powerful then the ps4, only reason they damage control is for publicity and to attract attention. They want to sell the x1 as an entertainement system and not just as a console, they bank on using kinect and tv features as other selling points, hence not needing the added power to attract attention.
