Wii Party U, Wii Fit U, Super Mario 3D World aren't major releases? One can also note that the one region where the Wii U has no 8th gen competition and has had the most time with above mentioned titles is also the one with the biggest decline since the holidays, this should overshadow any sales week beating the dying 360 at any rate. At least you seem reconciled with the likely fact that the Wii U will end up at Gamecube levels, a lot of people are very far behind you in that regard. I'm honestly not trying to offend you here; I assumed you were part of the "wait and see, it will beat the others in time!" crowd, which you are clearly not. |
True enough. I think its safe to say we're seeing unprecedented momentum for the launches of both X1 and PS4. I'd wager the WiiU's post-holiday decline is more in line in % is more in line with what we historically see for most consoles (but maybe I'm wrong)
Well Wii Party U and 3D world were about 2 months. That's a pretty decent stretch of time.
I'd guess Wii Fit U is a major release though. That one's kind of an oddball though. An old gimmick (Balance board) + new gimmick (Gamepad) + a reasonable fit tracker. What that really does for Nintendo now is hard to figure.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
