Rather tough to pinpoint exact case since it's not easy to track down when specific launch dates were first announced.

I know Wii Fit was also not announced until the same time as Mario Kart.  SSBB's date was announced in January and the game relased on March 9th.

Yeah all that stuff was years ago though. And what with all the delays and stuff ... a late may release wouldn't surprise me.

Even if they announce the release date in march for 6 weeks, that is still early may~
