I could see them coming closer if they counted xna. when they released that to the public they put up what 7 or 8 demos right away. Got to be a lot of those games in development by various people. You figure they'll put out 10-12 games a month retail average (more in fall, fewer now) and maybe 6-8 a month on XBLA, that's another 200 or so by year's end right there.
360 has its issues with hardware obviously but the games are largely pretty good. There's some crap as there is on all systems, but most stuff is pretty good if you like the genre of the game. Even the little noticed games can be pretty sweet if it hits your weak spot. Like Culdcept Saga is ridiculously addicting to me, and that sold like 12 copies? LOL Wii has fun games at the top, but drops off pretty quick. PS3 - well the A++ good ones are coming (hopefully) but there's 12-15 pretty solid titles out that'd keep people busy.
A pretty good time to be a gamer all the way around, I'd say.
