I appreciate why he is the way he is, and to some extent, yeah, he is kind of a bad ass. Still, he had some distinct advantages like being the son of the guy who owned the most lucrative territory in the country. No one could ever compete with him or his dad in a straight up bidding war, and the territory that included NYC was the only one that could have ever turned into a national/global company. He's also very lucky that the only competitor he's ever faced who could outbid him was impossibly and hilariously mismanaged. If WCW had been run by the likes of a Jim Cornette or Paul Heyman - two visionary geniuses who only ever had shoestring budgets - instead of Eric "It's Ted Turner's Money" Bischoff, it would still be around today. I think the problem with all those reality shows is that making superstardom and success the prize of winning a game that lasts a few months doesn't really prepare a person to survive the daily grind for years and years. And nowhere is the grind worse than in the WWE, with its ridiculous TV and house show schedule and being on the road 350 days a year. |
@bold, I lol'd, He was a joke, he shouldn't have been put in charge of anything more taxing than managing the stream of piss down his own legs...
Did you see when Vince bought the wcw he changed story about with some characters and Made Eugene (the wrestler with the mental disability character) into Bischoffs nephew, just to emphasis what he thought they were capable of.
