I've been trying to find a show I watched as a kid on dish at my uncle's, it was a Canadian satire program with MADtv like sketches. I remember a couple, there were two pelt-hunters canoing through downtown Toronto hunting for Armani suits and other costly garments, and there was a hilarious sketch with two policemen at a highway diner eating hamburgers when they suddenly see some suspicious guys. The suspicious guys get all sweaty and nervous and start to really chug the burger and fries and so do the cops, allthewhile eyeing the purps. The two (bankrobbers or something) eat up first and run to the car and start filling gas into it. The cops run out and follow suit, standing face to face with the robbers while tanking up. Then both the robbers and the cops pay for the gas (even waiting behind eachother in the line) and enter the cars, adjust the mirrors and start to drive.

The sequence ends when the robbers cross the state border and stops to make fun of the cops who halt abruptly at the "Border" sign.

I don't know if this helps, but its the bits I remember the best anyways, and I also think they had one member of the cast who played "air drums" for the first time on the Toronto Humor Festival.
