Correct, but I did look at the graph.
I took in to account that those were for boxing week. After that for most players the price climbed up a bit and stabilized. Then after the HD surrender it started trickling up... It is supply and demand as someone stated before. However the rise of demand is directly proportional to lack of competition and lack of an equaly advanced product...which HD DVD was.
People really shouldn't rip on sony here but I have a feeling that if HDDVD lasted another year we would have a fire sale for both lines of products
