But it would be great if Nin could make a whole marketing deal around "Nintendo Club".
Just imagine. They could make trailers showing Nin games and stuff, and at the end just display something like "Welcome to Nintendo Club" or "Join the Nintendo Club". If and when they release new consoles, the message would stay the same - join the Club - Nintendo Club.
So that would mean like I said before, unified account for all things Nintendo - personal info, nick, Mii, maybe an mobile authenticator for whole that, all software you own for any Nin system etc.
Any you know what they should do?
I have read somewhere that "Nintendo is experimenting with smartphones" in a sense that they are looking for a way to tease mobile users with games and make you get Nin's hardware in order to play that software, right?
Well, imagine if Nin would make a "Nintendo Club" app for smartphones. The app would be somewhat of a base for Nin's trailers/demos, uploaded and managed by Nin itself. The thing would play some sexy trailer for some upcoming game, then let you "play" the trailer for 6-10 seconds, and then continue with the trailer (and maybe let you play the trailer again near the end).
To clarify, let's say you run the "Nintedno Club" app. You see a Mario Kart 8 trailer and click it. Then it starts playing the trailer and in the background the app is loading game data, for a breif demo tease. So after like 25 seconds into the trailer, suddenly you are given control over Yoshi for like 5 seconds, you get the message above like "Tilt the phone to steer!" and that's it! You are playing the "demo" all out of nowhere. It doesn't matter if you fail hard, or if you throw a shell on bowser in front of you, or if you just crash at everybody for that 5 seconds, after that your "demo" is over and the trailer just continues like before. Now you are seeing the stages and power ups and what not, and than at 1:18 you are once again thrown into a tease demo, you have the control over Rosalina on a bike! After IDK 5-7 seconds, the play time is over once again, and the trailer goes on and comes to a closure. At the end - available only on Wii U date X/Y or Join the Club date X/Y or IDK whatever.
And you know, imagine the same scenario for other games and other Nin systems. Super Mario 3D World maybe. That thing would explode all over smartphones. Everyone would get "Nintendo Club App" and just kind of have it on their phones. I know I would play that MK8 trailer just for 10 seconds of gameplay over and over again. Hell, someone near me would probably throw an eye to see what I am doing, and maybe get interested, witch is the whole point of this app. Getting to millions of people with smartphones to have the app, running trailers(demos) of Nintendo's games, teasing them, and spreading joy of it to a person (or ppl) next to you! What better marketing can you get? You are bypassing the TV commercial thing all the way with a thing like this.
