| pokoko said: I think what bothers me is that Batista was really boring in there. Never mind that he hasn't done anything in four years, he didn't do anything in the Rumble that made people want him to win. Even Sheamus put on a much better show. Reigns and Rollins were awesome. Speaking of predictable, I never expected Punk or Bryan to win. They don't want either of those two going against Cena. As long as Cena is at the top, they'll keep those guys down the list. They know Cena would get booed out of the building. Heck, Reigns would probably have been the crowd favorite against Cena or Orton. The one thing I have to keep reminding myself is that the WWE now isn't about what the audience wants, it's about what Vince wants. You'd think those two things would be the same but it's become obvious that they are not. |
For all the storyline talk of 'good for business', it's clear Vince, HHH, and all of the other writers don't have the faintest clue what's best for business. The general Consensus has been "PAy wrestlers of yesteryear millions of dollars to come in and save our failing show rather than building up-and-comers to Main event status."
Instead, we get Batista, ORton, and Cena at the top of the heap. WE saw that already, nine years ago! Undertaker, Brock LEsnar, The Rock, and talk of Sting and Hogan returning at Wrestlemania, and...jesus guys, you are so pointedly trying your damndest to ensure the people don't get what they want.
WE want bryan. We want CM Punk. We Want Ziggler. I don't give a fly's regurgitated puke about how pissed off Randy is because Ziggler said he could beat him in a real street fight in some interview last summer. you know who gets the biggest pops of the last year? CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Dolph Ziggler after wrestlemania. Seriously.
Seriously!
I don't like breaking out the R-word, but you'd have to be pants-on-head RETARDED to be a writer on WWE's creative team.
