That happens on here sometimes if you copy/paste text in from other websites, they tend to bring their formatting in with them so if you continue to type and extend a piece of the formatted text you'll get your whole post in the weird imported format. Best way to avoid it if you are going to copy in a part of an article is to just hit return a few times then go back to the middle of the formed space and paste the article/quote in there, then just use the arrow keys back to the end of the uneffected area and just type away.
