Yeah , I rememeber when a basic DVD player was over 150$ ... at least when I wanted to buy one for the first time ...

The point I was trying to make was that there was a time when DVD player prices were so high (much higher than $150) that the average person had no interest in them at all.  The same thing *could* happen with blu-ray (prices eventually dropping to reasonable levels) assuming Sony's execs all have at least one working neuron between all of their collective brains.
