Particularly thanks the outrage that caused MS to reverse the leaked plans for XBO's digital policies, the reality of lower digital game pricing is farther away than any of us would like. It's basically the same problem that digital comics and digital movies have run into: it's not cheaper than retail because they don't want to upset their retail partners. The savings for them are TREMENDOUS and they could cut the price significantly and still make more than they're making at retail now but it won't happen as long as retail remains as powerful as it is now.
It's frustrating for those of us that are tired of having to make space for all of this STUFF in our homes and welcome digital with open arms and grasping hands, but the holdouts are too vocal so we wait while progress is impeded ...
