Explain. Tell me how anyone would want to buy an Xbone if they saw that stack. If there was one or two consoles on the shelf, I would be more inclined to want to snag one up, before they sell out. I wouldn't know there are 100 or so in the back.

So when you see two washing machines in a store, you snag one up because they could sell out??? I can't quite follow your logic here..

With a washing machine, there won't be this much hype but in a similar way the sales guy might tell you one was selling like hotcakes, recommend it and tell you they migh not be in stock long.  That does sway people, all other things being equal.

With consoles, if you are aware that one of them is selling out and you see it on the shelf you're more likely to pull the trigger.  If you see 50 on the shelf, you might think there's no rush to buy, or wait for the one that's sold out (which seems more popular).
