You guys are joking right >_>? At least we have MULTIPLE company's producing blu-ray products, at least it's the BDA and not Toshiba only >_>. Player prices of course are going to take a small bump now that their's only one format, hello, they are in this as a business. If your really that concerned, don't buy the product -_-; if you don't buy it, they don't sell. It's a simple issue of supply and demand. And because so many company's create these products, someone will have to make a move on the competitive front.
Do you honestly think Toshiba lost hundreds of dollars per unit to make you guys happy? Hell no! They did that because that's the only card they had to play against the BDA. And I'd much rather take a bump in cost to have one format as compared to purchasing two units -_-
